We have a budget that should make us competitive which has been the case all season as the table shows. Yes its as dull as ditch water which in the main is down to building average on top of average. The WAFC board have managed the managers poorly and there seems a complete lack of joined up thinking. Sadly SRs departure affected the Jan build and the fiasco that followed allowed the money to be wasted by someone that didnt have the inclination for the task at hand. Pure desperation followed with a series of poor signings. Where was the strategy, where was the planning. I guess all on the back of a cornflake box. |

How bad can Deverdics be if he can't even get on the bench in this side? Crying out for a creative spark in the middle, giving him a run of games in the side with Walker and Summerfield out is worth a pop imo.

Re: Why are our loan signigns in the main so poor?
Simply law of averages. Most loan players any team sign will be crap, they're either first team players the parent club doesn't want or youngsters the parent club want to get experience. Occasionally you'll get the overlooked player who is better than the parent club gives them credit for or a good player the parent club wants to get match-fit.
For every Brad Walker you get at least one player like Jermaine McGlashan (although I am willing to give him a chance, Maidstone should be easy picking at this point). Just the way loans work, unfortunately. Nobody's going to loan out their best players. |

For example Parent club may not want said player due to player falling out with the manager. Grant for example. Having had the career he has he cannot be crap. Granted (no pun intended) his performances here aren't exactly backing this up but you get my point. |
