Looking at the weather, I am still in 2 minds whether to watch the rugby or go to the Racecourse. But the rugby will be recorded and I’ll make the trek to watch a vital game in an important season.

To be honest a postponement would be a blessing today.

1) The gate will be hit today because of the Rugby
2) It Gives players who aren't fit like Pearson more time.
3) The gate will also be down after Tuesday
4) if other teams play around us we will have a better idea of where we're heading
5) it will be windy freezing wet and we don't like that.
6) Plus for the first home match this season I'm wondering if it's worth the suffering with my bad back

Blaming the conditions for Tuesday is glossing over how poor we were from the first kick. Never seen so many players fold like a cheap suit.

Big hit on the attendance today IMO and a reality check for some.

Crowd will definitely be hit today but we will still top 4 000 I think. Maybe 4k plus the handful who will deserve their applause for travelling from Kent today. Ever the optimist I will go for a nervy start ending with a flourish after the opening goal. 3-0 to the Reds.
