Yes but any player scoring goals at our level and is not passed his best is unlikely to come to Wxm even if we can more than match the price and salary L1 or L2 clubs are prepared to pay. Allegedly we have tried to get Cooke & Rowe to no avail and speaking to a FL striker we have tried to get other strikers who have opted for FL clubs. We need to either get good up and coming players from NL and below or develop young players released from the higher leagues or get lucky.

The point I'm making, for all our concerns regarding our strike force, has anyone identified strikers who we have missed but have signed and been successful at other NL clubs. Matt Green may be an example but was he within our affordability.

He is exactly the type of player we should be taking a punt with.

However he has never scored at NL level and got no goals for Crewe in 15 games. He is scoring for Telford and if he keeps up his form no doubt we will be in for him but he will also probably get offers of a second chance at a FL club.

With Maidstone looking likely to go down, I'd try and get Turgott. I know he didn't play well yesterday... was told he had an operation which has since set him back. Still worth a punt if they cant keep him
