Given his footballing abilities aside, Pearson brings leadership and commitment to a side of individuals who struggle to play as a team. He is head and shoulders above the next (Lainton) as our player of the year.

This is also a tad too early - our new players could make a big difference, promotion through the play offs is a possibility and we would look pretty silly if we did not honour our captain celebrating at Wembley.

If our immediate rivals were that good they'd be light years ahead of us - they are not -
there is still a chance our captain can achieve that which we all desire.

Give it Mike Fondop for his goal scoring exploits - the others can't get near him despite playing 6 months longer for us.

Seriously have any of them shone like a bright star as an example to aim for by the rest ?

On the basis we would be absolutely lost and in the sxxx without Pearson I would give it him.
