Three Days of a Total Over-Reaction.

Just read through several posts in different threads and all I can say is...WOW!!
How fickle is this place!!!
We had an off night Tuesday, thats the bottom line.
All of a sudden every player, bar Pearson, should be shipped out. One poster even believed this is the worst side since dropping into National League.
What a massive over reaction.
Reminds me of a pack of vultures circling .
Its a place of work for these guys. Like most people, they have a bad day at the office now and then. Doesnt mean they cant do their job.
If there is one person on here who is perfect at whatever it js they do then name your price because you are unique.

When expectations are high, it is unsurprising that frustrations are voiced, albeit some do over react. Our strengths and weaknesses are there for all to see but, essentially, the team is better than the quality of most individuals when we play as a unit.

Tuesday was a shambles but, as you rightly say, it could have been just one of those things. Regardless, it is now history. The important things are: to win today; to win enough games to get into the top-3; get to the PO final and, most importantly, win it!

Can we do all those things? We will soon find out. Let us hope they have learned something from Tuesday, and keep the ball on the ground and do the simple things. ;)

Wow! I feel scolded now. I must stand in the corner and not look at anyone. For me, defeat is not the end of the world. We will probably lose again between now and season end. That’s no disgrace. It was just the way we performed on Tuesday, that rattled people’s cages. When things were not going well, we didn’t (or could not) scrap it out. We made a promising Barrow youth team look like Barcelona reserves.
Yes, we can have an off day. Tuesday was perhaps a one off. But if I have an off day, sure as eggs is eggs, my boss will be on my shoulder asking for reasons. In this politically correct, snowflake world which is being created for us, I think it’s entirely fair to state that on Tuesday night we were dreadful. If someone bursts into tears in the dressing room - sorry mate but you have picked the wrong career.

why people over react as you say(IMO) is because it all happened this time last year and it appears that we never learn by our mistakes, we have our captain missing and its like lambs to the slaughter, nobody takes responsibility ,cant string 2 passes together,we will see after today about an over reaction!!

This nails it for me. I'm the biggest clapper going and I was really pisse doff after Tuesday. Its just all so predictable. Early on this season our focus impressed me and that all went on Tuesday. Still time to react and finish the season strongly but we need to do it now. Memories of last seasons capitulation are still raw.

Petered, You make a very good point and encourage positivity which is essential for success.
With respect, were you at the game? I don't think it is wrong for an individual supporter to say this was our worst performance in the National League. Obviously it wasn't our worst result.
Throughout the whole game we were completely disorganised, no leadership, no plan, impossible to work out what system we were attempting to play and totally let down by individual dire performances.

Barrow deserved their win, and good luck to them, but they were far from the most accomplished team we have seen at the Racecourse.

Hopefully today we can get back on track but on reflection I will stick to my humble assessment that we witnessed the worst performance since being in the NL.
