Great to get the points, but really, as a spectacle, it was dire. I am told that as long as we win, I should accept that I am not going to witness “the beautiful game”. We finally got a goal mid way through the second half and just hung on. No ambition, little skill just professionalism. All this, was against a team second from bottom.
A top six team would have shafted us. Our best forward is virtually through the door and we carry too many “average Joes” who drawn a wage, without busting a gut. If we get to the playoffs, it could well be humiliating. I should be looking forward to the challenge - but I am not.

Do fear now tollitt has gone though.
Glad of the win; wasn't well enough to attend.

Tollitt going is a massive concern. He's not the best loan we've had but he's the only one who ran at defenders with a threat of doing anything dangerous.

His (I assume) replacement was far from impressive on Tuesday, when be managed to stay on his feet that is.

Confidence seems to have gone completely and even the back 4 looked shaky . Positives were Deverdics looking a bit brighter and the cameo from McGlashan. But this really isn’t a team who could cope very well in League 2 and achieving promotion could well be a Pyrrhic victory.

Mcglashan's cameo was poor. He hit the deck twice in the first 10 secs!!

We'd definitely. Need substantial rebuilding in the summer if we got promotion. A completely new midfield and forward line at least.

This team just doesn't look like one that will get through the play offs right now (let alone win the league) that's more my worry. Hughes needs to get a formation that works and build some confidence back into the team ASAP.

And news on people like Summerfield?

We could have been 2-0 down in the first five minutes, Luckily they are as bad as us in front of goal. Tollett took his goal well. We had chances in the second half but failed to take them, Overall a better display than Tuesday night, But who is going to be our goal scorer now?

The word gash was invented for that game. We were crap they were crap. Tollits goal being i think the only thing that actually happened. Feel the season is just petering out. If we manage to stay in the play offs we are making up the numbers.

Never mind promotion the whole midfield and forward line needs rebuilding anyway.

The worry at the moment is BH seems to be making too many changes because our options are very limited. Grant, Deverdics and Gashman in the same squad does not bode well IMO. Beavon as sub weakens the starting 11 at the moment and dropping both Oswell and Stockton seems to show his lack of faith in them.

Very worrying at a time we should be consolidating our position. We may have enough to struggle over the line but after that we’re fcked.

3 points is welcome though but masks the problems.
