The loss of Walker was a massive blow and one which could be fatal.to our title hopes.Hughes is now desperately trying stuff to overcome this but the quality just isn't there.

We need a loan but what's the chances of someone coming in and hitting the ground running.

Pearson is also carrying an injury. If he breaks down we're done
Yeh the joys of coming into a job late in the season and then the fans expecting him to do the best he can with the players he has or at least try and bring another body in to cover a key injury. Not like that's the job remit anyway.

What I do know is that with 7 games to go then he has to at least put a stake in the ground with his preferred players. Oswell/Stockton/Deverdics/Grant all in and out the team/squad isn't going to provide any level of consistency or form for the players or the team.

The midfield 3 for me just isn't working with Wright needed for any defensive duties as its better that he just pushes forward.

If we stay 433 (or 43111 as it often seems) then surely we need to get the 3 sorted now FFS. BH is paid to make decisions and trying to stumble across the line with an ever changing formation/selection isn't what is needed now.

I'm not really disagreeing, just pointing out that everyone apart from the guy in charge believes they can do a better job.

As I said, who'd be a manager

Its not about doing a better job though. Its about this constant chopping/changing which isn't going to help at all in our current situation. IMO.

We have to go into the play offs from a position of strength and not with players like Grant sulking in moods and not performing

I would like to see Kennedy play in Walker's position and play Roberts at rightback if Carrington not fit.

OK Tuesday night he looked like he has never played before, but the whole side were dreadful, he has played there most of the season. Then play young and Deverdics in the middle drop Grant from the squad bring back Oswell as in and out ain't going to improve him but I would continue with Holroyd let him get sharper playing games we know he scored more goals last season than any other forward this season.

Bollocks to cotton wool. This bunch of prima donnas should be flogged. We need a Shaun Edwards type figure to get them in shape.

Why all this hate for the players? With 7 games to go, we're in a pretty decent position. With regard to our fitness levels, don't we win a fair few games in the 2nd half?

We're not great, but I really don't get the hatred directed towards the team. Second best defence in the league, only one team has won more games than us and we're a point off the top. Not too bad. Could and should be better, but worthy of some respect.

Very well said TT. Given previous seasons, most would snap your hand off to be in the position we’re in.

There is this expectation that we should be playing better football but I’m not quite sure why.

Its because we had a great chance to win the league, it was there for the taking and we've messed it up. That's why some fans are on a downer, plus the football is getting worse. Perfectly understandable.
Yeah we're in a decent position but recent performances have raised lots of doubts with fans. Tuesday was appalling and Saturday even though we won was hardly convincing.
Hopefully that's our dip in form done with but I'm far from convinced.
