This week some talk here about Oswell requiring a groin op at end of season and we were aware of this problem when signing him.Might be a positive if means a different player afterwards,however if this was known in January I'm speechless as we wanted to push on this season.Any conclusive truth in story ?

Don't know - but I wouldn't be too critical.
Perhaps the injury was not thought so serious as to require surgery or that it would n't hinder him to the extent it now is.
He, along with Stockton has disappeared off the match day squad for the last two games.
Presumably prior to him signing for us Oswell has undergone a medical and his health would have been scrutinized - I would imagine like relaying the pitch - a fair few players have minor surgery as soon as the league programme ends and the window of opportunity arises.

Just remember one thing, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the coaching at the club. That's all excellent apparently.

To be fair, apart from a short purple patch at Stockport, Oswell hasn't really set the football world alight, largely playing at amateur standard.

I assume this is why Morecambe were willing to part so easily.
