Re: Next seasons budget
Jono. Its not clear if you mean transfer fees or wages in your post!
If transfer fees then how are we going to pay them? Its not realistic for us to buy those key players but it is realistic to be able to pay them a decent wage in this league. The Ward money should allow 1 or 2 transfer fees but not the amounts you have stated. Dont think we paid a fee for Keates so there are players out there, plus we have to look at the likes of Telford, Kiddy, Southport, Alty, Bin dippers etc. to see if they have any worth signing. So I agree with the players we need but we have to be realistic as how we fund it. |

There is no guarantee that throwing lots of cash on transfer fees and player wages give a club the right to win the league title - Salford have spent a shed load and wont win it - Macclesfield in comparison won it last year without spending on home gates of 1500. We, as a club surely have to live within our means - saying 'when' we get promotion we can recoup the transfer spending money once we get into L2 is a massive gamble - what if the plan doesn't come off - are you happy to run the club into debt or play safe ? -surely we have to live within our budget and hope we can go up that way. Good quality players will be in big demand - the likes of Danny Rowe would be snapped up by much bigger fish than us - if he was even available. One thing that stands out though - player recruitment needs to improve though and the way we play them - Scott Boden a typical example - banging in goals for fun at Gateshead and now Chesterfield but nobody at Wrexham can score more than 5 which is pathetic. |

Re: Next seasons budget
Next year we will be signing players that have been released from clubs in lower divisions than us because they are the cheap option again but when we are fighting to stay in this league they will try and buy us out of trouble then it will be too late we will be relegated then spencer and his mates will resign and leave us to it penny pinchers

Re: Next seasons budget
Not sure what to make of this. Love the passion I guess.
But to think we're going to spend £1m+ is a bit mad?
