I proposed a change as a resolution at last years AGM. I proposed that the trust nominated club directors and the membership approved those nominations. I thought it added democracy but also gave the club board a mandate to act on our behalf which they don't currently have. The trust board opposed it and the membership voted against it

Good points and given the board is trust people and one of the sponsors (so I believe) then there is no diversity of opinion and no checks and balances.

I could understand Hughes til the end of the season, perhaps but to just give someone with such limited experience a 3 year deal comes across as madness and lacking in any logic even with the want for some stability. You give/offer a 3 year deal to a stand out candidate who you/we may not get without such a luxury/temptation.

giving BH the job was a mistake we all now know that as we can see he is totally out of his depth but giving him a THREE YEAR deal was complete lunacy !!!!!
Anybody with any footballing/financial nouse would have given him a deal to the end of the season with an extension depending on results.
No buisness with any financial thought would have put this deal together for someone with so little experience.
The people who put this deal together have let the club and the fans down yet again and the galling thing is we will all have to put our hands in our pockets when the begging bowl comes out again because we all know it will !!

Let flynn do the football side if he’s willing to and keep the hard workers like Spencer on board as the financial side they our doing a good job and they deserve to but seriously need someone with football knowledge , as for people Saying Hughes is the wrong man. I disagree, he’s a young manager In his first role, just like keates just like Rickett’s. It’s evident he wants to play his way but doesn’t have the correct personal to do so, this should be addressed in the summer when he can bring what he wants in, his signing atm have been mcglashan to replace tollit and augestine to replace walker. Give the man time and back the team, play offs are weird games and anything can happen.

What’s ‘evident’ that he wants to play his way? I have seen nothing to suggest this, all he has shown in my opinion is he’s massively out of his depth and his signings have been poor and the wrong type of characters at this time of the season. He might be young but he has already failed at Scarborough or wherever he was and he’s about to fail here, trust me he is not the man.
