No buisness with any financial thought would have put this deal together for someone with so little experience.
The people who put this deal together have let the club and the fans down yet again and the galling thing is we will all have to put our hands in our pockets when the begging bowl comes out again because we all know it will !!

He might be young but he has already failed at Scarborough or wherever he was and he’s about to fail here, trust me he is not the man.
After this initial failure Hughes didn't manage again for 4 years, until (you guessed it) he came here and signed a long-term contract.

Barring a miracle, we'll be in this League come next August.... And the same Board will be sat in the Directors Box, looking at the latest reincarnation of the team......

It's going to take more than the usual claptrap, bull s#it, and Spencerisms, to get me there...Only decent signings, and a football team that's watchable, will do it for me.....

Me and my lads will be on a very short fuse next season. No improvement from this shambles, and there'll be four empty seats before the clock goes back...

Is this true?

How on earth did this happen?

I remember feeling a bit guilty/vindictive when Bryan Hughes was brought it. I just couldn’t believe that someone with no track record of success in this division, could be given a three year contract. Has Yosser got relatives on the board? That said, changing managers again (is that 3 or 4 in the season) does make us a laughing stock. The club have to make up their mind that a manager is appropriate and then let them have at least 18 months to show their metal.
Bryan Hughes is trying to win games using players assembled by others playing the old Italian style (one up front and everyone else defending - relying on the break). It worked in Italy in the 60’s, but sure bores the arse of me.
Our prospects at present are depressing, but I feel for the manager who is trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear!

It’s Darlo recommending employing all his mates and Spencer ratifying the appointments like it’s some kind of genius thinking.

Since January these have all been interested in managing us and we have not even chased them which IMHO smacks a severe lack of ambition. Now I’m not suggesting that any would have been able to improve our team at the moment but surely a better option than Hughes on a three and a half year deal?

Askey. (Twice)

The famous Italian teams always had a striker who could put the only chance they had all game in the back of the net, Del Piero, Insaghi, Vieri etc

We have strikers who've never scored ever and wouldn't be able to finish their own dinners.

What do you mean is it true. Of course it’s true, he’s managed a pub team years ago and next minute he’s in the hot seat here ahead of Askey.

Its such a poor league crammed with equally poor teams and players that Wrexham should enter the play offs with ease ------- and who knows-----gain promotion.

Yours Sincerely,
For ever the optimist.
