Default Re: Team/formation to save our season?

Wasn’t that long ago Wright and Rutherford were the ‘heartbeat’ of this team and playing really well. How times have changed, but the fickle nature of our fans doesn’t help-one week we’re world beaters, the next we should sack the board. At the end of the day it’s a defeat against a top 8 side who we’ve always struggled against. Ok we’re limping into the playoffs, but bit of perspective needed again. 4-4-2 is our natural formation with this squad I feel, play with wingers and feed Beavon or Oswell upfront. We’ve proved hard to beat most of the season so need to go into these last few games with this mindset and not give anything away, and try and nick a goal here and there. We must believe the season is not over...

Heartbeat of the side, megalolz. They haven’t played well all season, this is the biggest problem with the club fans like yourself who’re still lauding around dreadful players it’s players like these is the reason why 11 seasons on were still in this dump, way too many average players playing too many games in important positions and unfortunately within the club, players, fans mediocrity is the norm.

How is 442 our natural formation? We haven't got two CM's good enough to play in a midfield two. 433 is the only formation available to us. 352 in theory but is too big a change at this stage

Young and summer field? Young and wright? Wright and summer field? Walker before he got injured? Some decent centre midfield combinations there...

Wright and Ruthers were praised heavily after wins earlier this season, some people have very short memories. We are so quick to attack our players after bad results on here, it’s pathetic.

Wright and ‘ruthers’ have been shite all season. They haven’t been praised heavily and people don’t have short memories. Rutherford is the nearly man and akil is scared of his own shadow.

Rutherford has not been praised much on this forum this season.Unfortunately for him his stats this season show lack of assists, lack of pace and being a rabbit in headlights in front of goal.As a guide Rutherford is useless against the top sides as his limitations are always exposed.

The team/ management / board have been absolute crap for months. Change needed as most of us have now had enough of mediocrity in this league.

It's the continual changes in the line up that's put us in this position Walker apart through injury since Hughes lost his first game it's been experimental line ups and team selection every game.

No consistency and no doubt lost the dressing room.

We have given the job to someone totally out of his depth yet again and if we lose next week he should resign.
