Team/formation to save our season?

So mediocrity is being 4th in the league, and being up there all season? People are so negative on here it’s unbelievable, slating our players at every opportunity-were people criticising Wright after his Havant away performance? He was player of the month in the entire league back in August, so can’t be that terrible. I’m not entirely sure what people expect us to have, we are in non league and still competitive despite some poor results of late. Wait until the end of the season and then judge...

I don't remember there being this much anger when we were finishing around 15th every season. The fact there has been so much progress and we are now so close to the title does mean more disappointment as it's the hope that kills you but this is a successful season based on the last 11 years of recent history. Doesn't mean we shouldn't criticise or that things shouldn't be even better but agree its OTT on here after every defeat.

Sadly agree , I gave up hoping after the Hartlepool non display .

If we got turned over by Braintree on Sat I’d take a different view (although it’s pretty much guaranteed we’ll finish in the playoffs), but we were beaten by a decent side in 8th still gunning for a playoff finish themselves...

So if we're third and its fair enough that we lose to a team in 8th(ignoring the fact we were 3-0 down at the break and it was out fourth defeat in five games) what happens when we finish seventh and are away at Salford in the first round of the playoffs?

It would help if a basic starting 11 was decided on with a plan 'B' on the bench, and stick to it, not chop and change.

I said the same thing 3-4 games ago. Barring injuries/suspensions.
I would look at Beavon and Oswell combination up front and leave Gashman out as there is too much at stake and he is too lightweight.
Midfield is obviously the problem and can BH get the best out of Augustien along with Young and Wright. Please no more Carra in the middle!

Somehow we need to build a sliver of confidence from the few that are capable.
