We give a player a contract he becomes our top scorer and then we don't play him and let him go on loan.
The coach should be able to help the player and team to play to their ability. What can a coach do in 1 day a week? This set up just does not make sense.

Managers change, players change yet not much else does but its nothing to do with the coach that sets up and basically runs training. We must be the unluckiest club in the world to get 4 successive managers that all play shite football. Please.

Part of a coach's job is to improve players isn't it? I can't think of one player that I could hand on heart say has improved since they joined. In fact when you think about it most get worse, especially forward players.

thats right, we get forwards and convert them to our style of all out defence

Unfortunately the vision that Ricketts portrayed only produced limited improvement and we tended to rely on the back 4 / 5 too much.
Very average players in midfield and ineffective forwards has resulted in performances that are low on the entertainment scale.
Hughes has inherited a side of limited ability and even the strength of the side has been weakened with injuries. He can't win.
There are however a large body of posters who are happy with ugly football as long as it brings in the 3 points.

Rubbish. As I stated in another post one of Wrexhams loan players told me Darlington has dictated tactics for years and he could not believe how a man who works one day a week has so much influence.

This loan player - whoever he is - would know the current status, but how would he know it has allegedly being going on for years?
