Tell me if you don't agree , BUT I believe we have one basic problem with our team , its been said before and ill repeat it No Reserve team ,
Those who are not in the team , Don't play ANY football only train ,
Those coming back from injury are not up to first team football straight away ,
players who are out just don't get game time , But are expected to hit the ground running when picked.

If the youth team were a reserve side the ones out of the team could play for the reserves , getting match fit before re introduced , and the youngsters would have to man up .

The basics are that we don't have enough players who can consistently pass the ball to each other and retain possession.

The best we have are probably Beavon , Holroyd , Summerfield and Walker - all of which aren't currently in the starting 11 for one reason or another.

Contrast that with the home game against Ebbsfleet - all of four of those started and we were 4 nil up at half time .... and it was entertaining!

Whilst the majority of players can only adopt kick and rush we are always going to struggle , and bore the life out of us .

They did earlier in the season because Ricketts talked about Manny using one to regain fitness. Not heard about any recently though?

I agree one of the problems is not having a reserve team and this is why we are not as fit as many of the teams we have played against.I also wonder what they do in training as you would think that they have not played together with some of the performances

Even when we had a reserve team we would often play matches behind closed doors.Why does this not happen now?We could have a blend of first team squad players and youth.

Agree completely! Not having a reserves team is short sighted I think. Carrington is expected to slot into midfield after not playing for 2 months and no reserve team football. We have so many rusty players that come in, especially in forward positions. For example, how can we expect Holroyd to come in and ‘look sharp’ if he’s hardly played.
