I spoke to him in the car park on Friday. On crutches and getting results from specialist next week. Not going to happen.

Totally agree, Cenotaff. We're not great, but then again neither is anyone else. We all blow hot and cold, and all teams in the top 4 have shown they are capable of going on a winning/losing streak. We have got a very good chance of promotion this season, especially if we can finish in the top 3. Losing Lawlor, Walker and Summerfield are big blows, but I think we've got enough about us to, like you say, 'grit' it out.

i didnt think we played that well at all.

if it wasnt for Braintree being so awful the scoreline woulda been different.. had we of played a half decent team yesterday i think by the performance we would of lost.

Again, bringing any player back from injury after a very long time out would be unwise - he wouldn't be anywhere near match fit and upto speed and with the season almost over I would think we will probably continue with what we have.
Interestingly, many were pinning our hopes on Augustien - again a player who has lacked playing time and wasn't even in today's match squad - if your not fully fit and switched on for a very demanding midfield position your likely to be found out very quickly - same old problem though is that without a reserve team how do you gain match day fitness if your a fringe player or attempting to get in the starting squad ?
Summerfield is back in training.

Two bang average teams but not a bad game all told which preserves my 5 out of 5 record watching Wrexham this season.

We could have had more given the quality of deliveries in the second half.

I think the issue is that all our play-off rivals have genuine goal threats. Our leading scorer is a central defender.

We do all blow hot and cold, but whilst others could get one chance and score we could get 10 and miss the target everytime.

Yes we all need luck, but not all luck is born equal.

Everyone is aware of our lack of a natural finisher but I wouldn't despair, goal poachers are great when they are scoring but often offer very little when they hit a barren run and they wouldn't be at our level if they were that consistent (despite the wages a few are allegedly earning). It's almost cup tie football from here on in so it's the team that wants it the most on day that will be the factor. We are lacking pace up top but the front 3 (4 with a fit Oswell) yesterday should have enough pedigree to win games for us if we can tighten up again at the back and take a bit more control of games.

A bigger concern for me is the situation with losing Lawlor, & Walker possibly for the season, the fitness of Summerfield and now the situation with Augustien. These are players who are capable of making sure we can control games, compared to our midfield 3 yesterday that compensate by working hard covering the ground.

Your first point doesn't make sense. Are you saying there Are no consistent goals scorers at our level?
