We don't need a reserve team, but we do need something for fringe/players coming back from injury. We also need something to bridge the gap from the youth team.

This could be covered by regular friendlies with other teams, or a reserve team. At the moment we have neither.

Well said, many times when we had a reserve team we would play additional matches played behind closed doors at the Racecourse.

Can we not play a couple of overage players in youth games if they are coming back from injury?

Ages will probably be an issue, and we shouldn't have to.

These friendlies could take place on training pitches the way they used to, no need to use the Racecourse.

Good for first teamers getting back to fitness after injury and blooding the youth in Mens Leagues
They used to play in the Cheshire league at one point

Could use some of the youth team I suppose , didn't we used to have some form of reserve side in the Welsh national League many moons ago?

That was a very good league.

If we have a smaller squad then we dont need a reserve team.
Use loan players sparingly for injuries/suspensions and with a tighter knit of the core squad its less disruption. 5 loanees in same starting line up is too much in my opinion and I would rather have better quality players we actually sign not loan.
