Reserve Team....Do we need one?

Am i the only one who thinks not having a reserve team harms our 1st team?

for me, it doesn't give the management proper insight on new players.. players returning from fitness etc etc etc to see what kind of match fitness they may have and what their form may be like

the fact how many players Hughes is bringing in and out the team rotating it so much shows this, as he doesn't seem to have a clue what his best 11 is. where as reserve team matches although will have a higher expenditure. would allow players to have and keep some kinda match fitness/sharpness and also in turn give the manager a more in-depth insight into how the player is performing in a game environment as opposed to just training and training ground matches

wether other teams have or dont have a reserve team is not the point before anybody mentions it.. im trying to put that a reserve team would give us better insight into player form and performances levels.

with so many players on loan etc a reserve team is really needed it will also help our youth players to develop

I'am not sure, if there is a reserve team league in the midlands / North West these days. There was a few years back, but its all U-23's and youth teams these days. I'am old enough to remember the old mid week Floodlit League, all night games, with teams consisting of a mixture of senior/reserve/ youth team players, and also useful for players returning from injuries, to get back to full fitness.

I think a reserve team would only be beneficial, chuck some of the youth lads in there to make the numbers up, the only way way fringe players will improve is by them playing every week.

I asked in a thread that got locked after match yesterday hold we not have a reserve/ youth team in the welsh leagues? Beneficial to us (youth and backup players playing competitive football)and to faw having another team in the league. Surely we get a couple hundred willing to watch a b team if Wrexham are away?
