Perhaps I got it wrong then . Is it that people not used to commitee meetings are too afraid / nervous to speak? They need to find a mouthpiece that isn't ,to conteract as what some might think are nodding donkeys (Churchie)

Re: Football Club AGM.
I do hope to attend on Thursday. Whether it is or is not, the right place to vent our spleens, we will see. I would love to end up sitting between Dixienormous and Phils an Alki. They are always forthcoming with opinions on RP and will help me to express myself!
Fans views are split. The Clappers point to our balance sheet, whilst the frothers think that our major assets should be on the pitch. A lively night. |

The squabbling on RP about asking questions reminds me of staff meetings with the boss, when the staff say nothing until after the meeting, then spend an hour complaining by the coffee machine... The AGM is a perfect place to ask politely worded but pointed questions about the way the club that's financed mostly by FANS is struggling to cross the line. |

RRM, trying to see your point of view here - why don’t you think the AGM is an appropriate place to ask questions? |

I noted John Mills comments in Saturday's programme about 'excitable posters on social media platforms who preach from positions of no risk or responsibility'. There should be nothing wrong with being 'excitable' about the club provided comments don't get personal or abuse towards the directors of course. I am normally a happy clapper but if I am of the opinion that if we don't consider taking a risk on getting some decent players in we will have to accept non-league football for the foreseeable future. |

Re: Football Club AGM.
As mentioned, AGM is usually a run of the mill event with overview of previous 12 months and election of officers.
But, at a club I was involved with, we introduced a Q&A session at the end of the formalities. I'd argued long and hard for this as the Club was being accused of being a closed shop ( which it was) and apathy had set in. |
