I have no problem with the general message he wanted to send - more about the way it was written!

Perhaps something like - 'I fully understand the concerns expressed by some supporters on social media but the board has a responsibility to manage the budgets and we do not wish to overextend the clubs finances that may result in financial difficulties in future' - might have been better received.

Hard to see what his message was really other than a general dig at fans.

As regarding asking unpopular questions of the Elite untouchables it reminds me of management meetings with the workforce in work, a lot of moaning if you like about certain practices and safety concerns etc on the shop floor, quite strong views and some Redrobinman man language.

But when it came to the meeting and the workers were asked any questions... Not a peep off any, I got stuck in at one such meeting and received no back up so I looked a troublemaker for questioning and criticising the management elite.

And I think it would be the same at any meetings where you are able to question the Elite club board and WST hence why no probing questions are asked, because if anyone asked questions and criticised these people then all their followers would close ranks, and the person asking these questions would not get backed up by others with the same complaints.

As to Redrobinman I think he needs anger management because he never posts constructively just comes one here to try to bully others a keyboard warrior.

I've no doubt he will vent his spleen on me now, no probs personally if he does he is insignificant.

Questions from the floor will be dealt with by those on the top table.
People like you may get to ask the questions and they will be dealt with. A lot of people won’t be happy with how they have been answered and the moaning will then carry on on here thereafter.

As with Wilkin and how it all ended for him here, I can see into the future.
So what you're saying is there's no point in going anyway? How do you know they won't be happy with the answers? Is that from what's happened in the past?

Also

Is it moaning though? Or is it valid criticism?

If you don't agree with something that the club board has done and say so on here, without resorting to abuse, what's wrong with that?
Its on here, exactly where it should be.
If the AGM turned into an open forum there'd be chaos.
Its easy to label other fans as 'moaners', but its so dismissive and ignores the (mainly) valid points being made.
I don't get it.

I think the Club is being run better than it has been for years, perhaps ever. I don't have undying loyalty to it, I love it a bit, but I'm unfaithful. I thus avoid the tw*t categorisation, I'm more in the sh*t category.
So 90% of the fan base are tw@ts then. Errr ok.

Or - apologies for giving Barrow our precious finances which are now not available if we result in financial difficulties in the future as they have been wasted.

Right so turning up to the AGM you agree, is not the place to air your views then. Just wanted to clear that up really.

Anyway at least one club board members is on here regularly reading threads so they are aware of everything that's being said, hence John Mills dig at fans in Saturdays programme.

To be fair to John and add a bit more context, he did follow it up by indicating all the Directors are fans and want success as much as anyone else.

However, the proceeding sentence was poorly written in my view.
