Re: WST board minutes
Thanks once again. Is it right that only 25 or so members were present for the agm? Sad if so but perhaps indicative of the divisions between the Club board and the Members they were chosen ( not elected ) to represent. The issues , whatever the cause , need to be addressed. A Fans' Owned club cannot be run successfully on apathy and indifference.

Re: WST board minutes
A majority of those interested fans who did up last night, were older and possibly retired folk. Where were the lively, dynamic fans who we sit next to at away games or who regularly express themselves on RP?
I went, but didn’t feel competent to address the board. There must be a way to address the things that we feel are wrong with our club. There was an atmosphere in the room last night. An eerie silence, or was it misguided expectation? I have decided that it’s gardening or diy for me - that surely cannot be everyone’s view? |

Or perhaps the majority of the fans have no issues with the way the club is run. |

Re: WST board minutes
My burning question was going to be “Why did we start the season off with so few established strikers”. Most fans thought this was the case, but I didn’t ask the question because the answer would surely be “The manager at the time (SR) thought it was ok, but we can’t ask him now because he has gone”.
The lack of an effective strike force has held us back from winning the most “winnable” National League, for years. A big chance missed. After 60 minutes of sitting there, I just couldn’t be bothered. As for 100 fans being there, I must get my verifocals fixed! There were five lads behind the bar, six or so officials in suits and a lady in a long (low cut) dress flogging raffle tickets. Uncle Tom Cobbly and all. |

Re: WST board minutes
It shows that, regardless of blame, the division between the club board and the majority of fans is widening as each season passes.
The point wafc1926 made is valid and the defensive finger pointing at fans who didn't go (who are by the way in a huge majority) by Hamilton Pathetic just further adds to the problem and adds to the them and us perception that's already a big problem. Plus there are widely differing views as to whether turning up to an AGM and questioning the board is the correct place to do it and there is also widespread doubt and cynicism that you'll get the answers anyway. What realistically are they going to tell you that's going to change anything? History tells us that the answer is nothing. That isn't a dig but they are hardly likely to say "yeah you're right we'll change things immediately" Even if 50 angry anti club board fans turned up and asked some difficult questions I doubt anything positive would come of it. When there's over 3,000 members (I think) and only 100 odd turn up, it cannot be denied that there is an issue and the blame lies with the boards and the fans. Re: WST board minutes
Chester entered Supporters Ownership a number of years before us. Are we on the same cycle they have been on regarding fans apathy? Very worrying if it is and something that needs addressing before it becomes as bigger problem as it has down the road.

Re: WST board minutes
Has anyone on here actually communicated any of this to the board? As per usual, RP seems to be full of moans and groans about the club but I've yet to see a post where someone has approached the club or trust board with their concerns?
Or do people expect the club board to read red passion and/or realise the fans concerns themselves? Apologies if already mentioned, I can't be bothered trawling through pages and pages of doom and despair. |
