With injuries and picking up morale after the Graham Barrow fiasco I think hes done about as well as we could reasonably expect.
There were people on here calling for his head a couple of weeks ago , calling Him fit to burn , I haven`t read All this post yet , be interesting to see who back tracks

Which ever league we are in next season, it will be mainly his team built around how he wants to play, so let’s hope for a more expansive game plan then. For now I agree we play to our current squad’s strengths and hopefully grind out a play off final win.

He had a decent new manager bounce.

Recent results have generally been poor. I'd love to be proven wrong and him take us home to the football league. I don't see it though 😔

He is half a dozen games away from being (potentially) the embodiment of the second coming - a legend who will join the immortals - or he might just fcuk up.

Good luck Brian - you have achieved the first part of task, it gets even harder from here on in.

I think given the shitshow he took over from and not even having a proper transfer window to get some players in he done pretty well. I Don't believe in the new manager bounce stuff.

i dont think he was the right man for the job and situation we are in, we needed an Askey type or Askey ,first job a promotion drive for the FL, ok hes an Xplayer so what!! he was 20 or so when he left and bet he never seen a game until this season, would you put a person who has just passed their driving test, in charge of your car with your family in it

Still a way to go to prove his worth. Success in the play offs makes him a legend. If we don’t win then he has to recruit well in the summer and that’s his real test IMO.

A young coach who's keen to progress with a similar football CV to Sam Ricketts.
Your analogy with the driving is well off track. Hughes can be seen more as a Driving instructor.
