very good point Patrick. In recent years Blocking the movement of opposition players has more and more become the thing to do especially in set piece situations. In particular the blocking of the keeper to prevent him coming out for crosses. This does cause particular problems for smaller keepers like Lainton. The basic rule for the keeper is "if you come off the line for the ball you have to be sure you can get it otherwise stay put."
