Re: Holroyd and Grant not the answer upfront
His ability and speed of thought are at least one league above the majority of the team. He lacks pace (probably an age thing) but has a great touch, can play people in and wins far more than he should in the air.

Re: Holroyd and Grant not the answer upfront
They didnt play up front - as a front 3
They played as part of a midfield 5 Trying to support Beavon isolated 10 yrds in front of them Id have said our formation today was 4-5-1 The lack of pace / enthusiasm/ creativity was very poor today we were bad to watch - im so disappointed in Flynn / Hughes injection of new ideas |

Re: Holroyd and Grant not the answer upfront
Holroyd has got a good touch on him, He did ok and hasn’t played a lot this season, but the front players aren’t blessed with options as they get isolated a lot. The players do need to anticipate beavon winning headers better as he’s was great at that today. I don’t think we have any better other than potentially Stockton who’s injured? and god knows when oswell will find form. Mglashen on the other hand, has pace and that’s about it on today’s performance. We’ve won 3 on the bounce without spyrou, he mixed it up and it didn’t work, stick with what we know and see what happpens.

Jan massaged big egos and unless we win the play offs there needs to be an explanation. Actually this is needed if by some miracle we win. How we signed Grant after seeing him on loan is a joke. This is where someone with football knowledge should have stepped in and say no, not good enough. |

Re: Holroyd and Grant not the answer upfront
Holroyd is shite fair play. Roll on the summer when we can get rid.

Re: Holroyd and Grant not the answer upfront
All the strikers/wingers are shite to be fair. I do appreciate Beavon because he works his socks off and his footballing brain is miles ahead of anyone, but he's not scoring more than 5 goals a season. In the summer i'd release all the forwards apart from Oswell who deserves more of a chance if he is injured as rumoured. Bring Toillit back and start from scratch.
