The European Council votes by qualified majority for a nominee for the post of President, taking account of the latest European elections. This proposal is then put before Parliament which must approve or veto the appointment. If an absolute majority of elected MEPs support the nominee, he/she is elected. The President then, together with the Council, puts forward his team to the Parliament to be scrutinised. The Parliament normally insists that each one of them appear before the parliamentary committee that corresponds to their prospective portfolio for a public hearing. The Parliament then votes on the Commission as a whole; if approved, the European Council, acting by a qualified majority, appoints the President and his team to office.

Anyway, this is a massive sidetrack. The point is that the way we do things at Wrexham is sensible and is how most organisations, whether they be companies or even western democracies, operate.
Sorry he gets put forward to go through the process you say above, so even the EU is more democratic than than the WST.

The WST is hardly a paragon of democracy, because it is only possible to change 4 board members at a time, rather than vote out the whole lot (if that is what the voters wanted). Replacing four at a time gives massive inertia and facilitates the 'jobs for the boys' mentality on the club board. To achieve effective change would require sustained effort over several years, which is difficult. I'm not saying I don't appreciate the off-field work done by the WST, it's the amateurish football governance that is the problem.

... or by design stops a capture / knee jerk vote.

Term limits (eg. require 2 terms then at least 1 'fallow' term) is something I have always been keen on regardless of platform, sadly it was suggested for local councillors in Wales however turkey and festive votes always fail!

As for the debate about the Queen...

With regards to our on-field fortunes, we’ve not been helped with managers who’ve jumped ship. Maybe we could have paid them accordingly.

One of the head scratching occurrences this season (noted by pagl too) is the sheer volume of loan players. There must have been a strategic decision to get in as many as we can to bolster the squad. If we’ve been paying all their wages over the term then it was a poor decision because only a few have been any real value to us.
AA, sure I wrote another sensible thing a few weeks back

I cant think of any posters that could complain about the way the actual finances are managed or the work of those that hold the purse strings. It has been commendable.

We all know its on football decisions thats where our problems lie.
Sometimes these have had financial bearings or possibly even reasons but they are costing us. Davies appointment was cheapskate. He may as well have gone with Keates. Barrows appointment has all the hallmarks of missing out on DL and then GB ‘persuaded’ (some might say pressured) into the job.

Then to compound the poor decision he is given the money to spend with no interest in the job. They may as well have let any 2 fans spend it.

Yeah, he’s finished. First he’s championing a consortium interested in buying Wrexham FC and next thing he’s given up his job. Maybe the two are not connected.

Not me for obvious reasons, but I can think of a couple of excellent potential candidates whose faces , sadly , don't fit. This is again due to the "them and us " culture which has been encouraged by certain people and hinders a truly co-operative approach.

Interesting conspiracy. Unsure of thoughts on this.
20 years is a long standing position to give up and Sky long standing in the results service. Has a new challenge which would make it presumptuous at the moment so maybe a lot of reading between the lines. Who knows.

Not my place to nominate people who may not want to stand. As for the "them and us " scenario .....I speak to a lot of people and that's the comment I hear most. Even good posters on here seem to think the Fans' job is to raise the money and leave the thinking to those better qualified!
