Suggest we play like Burnley last few games - route 1 into opposition box
We've being playing like that for 3 seasons hence why we can't score. No target man or height upfront

We are continually set up not to lose and not to win.

All down to bad tactics, formation and management. Boden's 21 goals this season proves it. The buck stops with the team management.

lots of negativity above.

but most the strikers we have had or do have.. came here with bags of potential .

and when a fair few of them signed a lot was happy with them for the most part.. and most the negativity is comming from Hindsight.

Boden , Harvey , Miller , Reid , Ainge , Grant , Oswell etc etc for example

Most if not all the above came here with some kind of potential or good feeling about them on their arrival.. Ainge i guess is a prime example bagged tons of goals for Harrogate after being converted to a striker from a defender.

came here and we hope that would continue.. sure we knew was a risk in bringing him (as it is with any player) , it didnt work out for him..

same for Oswell.. banged em in for fun at Stockport.. didnt get a run in team when he got his League move.. not been scoring for us. but the potential was there, even Bobby Grant a fair few got excited about when he joined us from Fleetwood .. with many saying he too good for this level and he only joined us because fell out with Barton there.

we need to stop blaming players , managers , the board etc etc when speaking with Hindsight in mind. sure some managers may sign players and get ya scratching ya head. but we need to become more supporetiver as a fan base.. and not spit our dummy out and point fingers at who is to blame every time we lose or fail to gain promotion.

Err. Have I missed something, stop blaming the fans and put a positive what the problem is then. If it is not the players, managers or board it is a joke to blame the fans, the fans have put their finger on the problem for the past 3 or 4 years but those responsible to pick the team set them up to play etc seem be missing something.

my point was...

if we signed Messi , Ronaldo and Bale next season.. everybody would be delighted and euphoric...

BUT... if they didnt perform.. and didnt do well for us.. then the fans would bitch at the board , blame the manager etc etc. thats the point im tyring to make

Not sure how you can equate those players with the likes of Tyler Harvey.

Who exactly are the fans meant to blame for repeated lacklustre performances then?

Once again it seems the finger is being pointed at supporters themselves, who continue to put their money where their mouth is, by people who can't tolerate criticism of the current regime.

If as stated on the Bobby Grant leaving thread its Darlington calling all the shots on tactics and management then there is only one person to blame.

Whats the betting the begging buckets will be out again for another BTB fund at the end of the season?

Err yes. Because we KNOW Messi, Ronaldo etc are class players. If they fail here its likely to be the system than their ability.

You either buy players that fit the existing system or you build a system to fit around the best players. That is down to the management and coaching staff.

IMO you can't blame a player that has had a proven background failing to continue that form here as the system stifles attacking play.

In the past we have jumped to criticise the players but I think it is becoming clearer that we should be pointing the finger at the management team(s) and backroom staff.

Having a great defence means sod all if you can't score the other end, especially in knock out football.
