If we had brought in an additional striker in at the start of the season it might be a different story. Instead we gambled on a rookie who has since been frozen out, a loanee who never played for us, another loanne who its debatable did a good job here first time.

Its slim margins. If we keep the core of this squad for next season we need the quality to get us 10 - 15 more goals. Tolitt, Kyoslo + 2 others IMHO might just do that for us.

People having a pop at investing in infrastructure yet there are benefits to a proper training ground - if the Groves comes off that could be it. Someone mentioned to me proper club house area, couple of pitches and new car park etc.

As for Kyoslo... he was ripping it up in Nantwich for a couple of seasons and I am still baffled how we did not go for him.

I would have thought the Manager was the main reason we could sign decent players , club means nothing if the main man has no respect from players . This is why if or whoever becomes the Assistant Manager it's vital he must have connections at this level because I doubt BH has what's required due to being out of the game .

Out of curiosity and I can't remember who is contracted who would you keep?

Striker wise I know Fondop and Oswell are here next season although with one in limbo and the other needing a groin op its less than ideal. If we could get someone like Cheek here it would be a great signing. Whats more coming to a club that's stable might negate the move up here.

Personally id be offering contracts to Leighton, Tollit and someone like Kyoslo.

That then leaves us needing two to three midfielders and a right back as I wouldn't be offering Roberts another contract. Id also be releasing Rutherford, Grant & Summerfield.

Using Boden as the latest example, we have had better players here. Sadly though, the style of play and lack of creative players in midfield turn the better players into dross.
I’m not convinced with our defence.
Controversial though that is, hoof ball from said defenders cuts out midfield and doesn’t play to the strengths of strikers we have.
Can BH pick a formation that he wants to play and then pick new players for that formation?
To me that is key for next season.
He tried experimenting and it went pear shaped as the squad isn’t attack minded.
Lots to sort out before a single player is added to the squad.

That's about his level.

Lainton, Pearson, Lawlor, Young, Prob Manny and Carra, Kennedy for versatility.
Not sure on last but max of 8. May keep Jenno but would depend on wages.

I dont think Cheek is a viable option, just like signing Rowe for less than £300k and £2k a week wasnt on. Yet some see this as a sign of our intent, may as well say we bid the £1.5m Ward money on Pukku.

I would be looking at spine of team and the leaders we need. They inspire others and lead by example and would do the business when others failed.

If I was a young pro and read the stick on here some of the squad get I'd think twice about signing.
