What an absolute nothing thread. Of course its all ticket of course your ST isnt included an no the club shouldn't have to coax to you a play off game

I agree with what you say, so looking on the positive side and we win the quarter final home game and then are away to either Salford or Solihull how are we going to sell those away tickets as demand will no doubt be well and truly a lot higher than the tickets we would get from them small capacity clubs.

Will present season ticket holders get first shout to purchase or will it be everyman & woman for themselves?

That in itself is a concern.

Look at the Salford away game around Christmas. We were given around 1400 tickets and we have approx 2000 ST holders. It’s always been that way. Perhaps Salford will do a Stoke City on us and give us more of the ground - fat chance.

They should have started selling the tickets already IMO, valid for either the Wednesday or Thursday whenever the match is.

The problem with the playoffs is the ridiculous turnaround. This time next week we will hopefully be scrambling around trying to sort tickets for an away match, possibly ‘tomorrow’. That’s how ludicrous it is.

I know it might sound simple but my belief is there are strict rules governing ticket sales.

I don't think tickets can be sold containing what I would term 'casual information.

The date / kick off / details of match / stand / seat number (if applicable) with a stadium plan 'should' be shown on the ticket.

As has been pointed out several times the lack of time between the final league match and the first play off game don't help the situation and all the associated arrangements needed to be put in place - ticket sales, catering, staffing, stewarding, match day programme, away travel coaches, policing - the list is endless.

Although in this case we have some additional time to plan as we know we will have a home game other clubs might not be so fortunate or indeed we might not be in the future - it's all a bit of a mess isn't it ?

I’m sure I’ve bought a ticket previously that didn’t state our opponent in the playoffs, it just said ‘playoff match A’ or whatever on it.

In my collection of programmes and match tickets, I have ticket stubs where the opposition are described as Team A or Team B. And “ Whenever the tie is played” is featured. Perhaps the rules have changed?

Yup, in 2012 tickets were sold as Wrexham vs POSF.

(Obviously, that’s not to say rules haven’t changed since then, I suppose.)
