For me Rutherford has to start as he creates , defends and gives it everything and can rely on him , would go with beavon and holroyd with ruthers as the front 3 only because that’s worked for us a lot recently but oswell should come on and next season we need to build the team around oswell as if given the right service he’ll score 20+

Defends? He doesn’t tackle and 5 assists in 42 suggests he doesn’t create

A different prospect to the normal 90 minute league match.
With the possibility of extra time and penalties will BH adjust his selection to fit the occasion ?
I often feel games are influenced by second half substitutions - depending on fitness some players might be more suited to be introduced as a sub - we need some quality and strength coming off the bench when the opposition hopefully tire.
It maybe that Rutherford starts and Oswell is held back - Beavon is another along with Summerfield who has just come back who might not be able to last the distance if the tie is extended.

Its probably better for BH to stick with what he knows works, rather than tinkering at this late stage. I'd agree with you but Summerfield has to start. Oswell has the groin injury but looked decent yesterday so he may start.

With your avatar I should imagine you were there yesterday if so did you see how many tackles he chickened out of? Did you see how many chances to get on the end of a good pass he gave up on through lack of pace? Yes he put a good cross in but it was Oswell who did the hard bit getting his head to it.

Nothing against Rutherford he puts a shift in but his lack of quality stands out.

Watched some of the goals Oswell scored for Stockport on youtube you would not believe it was the same player but yes at a lower level, have not seen anything yet to tell that he would score more than 6 to be honest.
