But no, “congratulations” and let’s all have a big party and be happy with this.

‘We are Wrexham’ though remember, like that means anything to anyone we will play. Same as what aggregate scores against teams mean as we go into a one-leg playoff scenario, you couldn’t make this spin up. Well, you could.

Stating the results in HOME games against Salford and Solihull, what’s the point in that the only fact that matters is that we lost convincingly away to them and I would expect a repeat of that, if we beat Eastleigh, which I think we will.
Reminds me of a family member who I visited on the day England played their 3rd/4th place World Cup play off game . He had been going on and on about no one could possibly beat them up to the semi final. No telly on and not watching the match? Answer- I only watch the team that wins. Just couldn't force himself to give credit where credit was due.

Looks like those writing off our prospects now are at least consistent.

If we ever have a manager who can take full responsibility for the season then the above, combined with clear evidence of progress is criteria for renewing/extending their contract.
Yup, I'd go with that.

So if we have made progress even though we're down there with goals for

Look at the progress Solihull have made just escaping relegation, last season Leyton Orient after one poor season champions, Salford Harrogate National North last season.

Solihull have been the dark horses this season. Orient got the right manager without a doubt, I doubt he would have come this far north. Salford were always going to do artificially well. Harrogate have also done well.

They all had investment by groups/individuals didn't they, to a greater or lesser extent?

It’s quite amazing how some people just can’t bring themselves to say we’ve done quite well. This despite the fact we demonstrably have. Saying we have isn’t celebration or having a party, merely stating the facts. We got the same number of points as we did when we roared to promotion in 2003, and while that gets us very little as we sit here now it’s a pretty good return. The idea that getting five more points makes this team a set of all conquering heroes but having what was actually posted is a cause for continued wrist slitting is daft. We’re in it to play big games now, and if we lose them the world will just keep turning. I’m sick of reading toss after losing games which indicates we’ll never get promoted, never win, lose all our fans and watch the club slide into oblivion - it’s thick.
