Didn't we have more money also this season? Granted those at the top wasted a lot with their mistakes management wise

We did, and hopefully everything that was available wasn't spent. That cash came from an era of youth development we will have no chance of emulating anytime soon.

As to whether it's viewed as wasted (and I personally think plenty was, whether we go up or not) depends on what happens in the play-offs. It's deeply frustrating that the title seemed very winnable but for the circus we had going on earlier in the season.

The idea that getting five more points makes this team a set of all conquering heroes but having what was actually posted is a cause for continued wrist slitting is daft. We’re in it to play big games now, and if we lose them the world will just keep turning. I’m sick of reading toss after losing games which indicates we’ll never get promoted, never win, lose all our fans and watch the club slide into oblivion - it’s thick.
I thinks its because we dropped out of the top 3. We were challenging for the title for most of the season so I can see how 4th would be an anti climax

And that is a bit disappointing. But hardly cause for shrieking, although it’s foolish to measure a fanbase’s reaction by what its internet gobs say. I expect the silent majority are taking it in their stride.

So we've all made progress.

Agreed under the circumstances caused by the board we have done well to finish 4th but the other clubs should of been out of sight after our Chester agent Barrows spell and that's what I meant in an earlier post about a poor league this season.

The champions are also in the Trophy final along with Fylde another play offs qualifier and how many on here wanted us knocked out first round thinking you gain an advantage.

Yes some success having made the playoffs but if we had a striker we would of won it look at our goals for the last 2-3 seasons abysmal.

Having said that with all these goings on 3 managers etc maybe it is our year let's face it we always do things the hard way fingers crossed and get behind the team for hopefully a successful play-offs

Congratulations to Leyton Orient - no one else atm the job isn't done. Ultimate progress would be keeping a manager for a whole season and signing a striker who can get into double figures!

Tidy result for us considering the management merry go round.
How does everyone know the budgets of all the other clubs at the top of the National League?

Surely ultimate progress would be promotion?
