I’m no expert but it doesn’t really seem like it’s worth £1 million for a developer? It’s not really a great retail location and the traffic congestion there is huge. What could they possibly want to put there?
Heavy pressure should be placed on the Uni to act in a community minded way regarding the land. Surely WCBC and Welsh government and any other party wanting to develop the land with the larger community in mind can apply pressure.
We need to be lobbying our AM’s to open their purse wider and also the uni to try and pursuede them to see sense, this land if sold to a developer would have severe consequences for WREXHAM FOOTBALL CLUB😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

1- all Uni's franchise degrees it is a key funding stream.
2- the land behind the Kop belongs to the Uni after they bought Wrexham Village. I think they own the old Dickens site but I'm not sure. 3 - the Uni have to sell to who pays the going rate. It's the job of the board of Governors to protect this. 4 - the lease include the Kop land. 5 - the Uni are stakeholders in the Gateway project. 6 - I think, from memory, the plans for the next lot of student accommodations includes Kop access. 7 - It is up to the Uni who they sell to. They own the land and bought it fairly and legally, I would say that the decision to by ground has cost over 100 jobs at the Uni over the years. Additionally I don't think we would be around if they hadn't bought the ground.
Sorry Watkin Jones plc .
Hopefully not, disgusting company. They really wouldn’t give a s**t about the football club.

They didn’t feature on what I was told a few months ago but things change....

The land will go to the highest bidder.

The WAG have to make sure they stump up the cash.Simple as.

If they allow this land to fall into the hands of third party developers it is a nail in the coffin of Wrexham Football Club and the oldest international stadium in world football.
