In tonight’s one off game, we were devoid of ideas and had penetration. For the home team, we had to take the game to Eastleigh, and we didn’t/couldn’t.
Oh yes, we scored a perfectly good goal that was disallowed, but it all balances up in a season.
Eastleigh didn’t do much more than us on attack, but looked much comfortable on the ball. The referee let Eastleigh get away with lots of professionalism. Failing over, pretending to be hurt and just wasting time. They seemed to want penalties, but nicked the game in the later stages. Was it a fair result? Hard to say from a hardened WAFC fan. The onus was on us to attack and we found it tough.
I am not a lover of yozzer due to his lack of managing experience at this level, but he now must issue his retained list and not be afraid to ship out the dead wood. We all have our favourites, but if Grant, Wright, Roberts and Rutherford are all here next August, I will be off !
We were perhaps deluded that we could sneak up through the lottery of the playoffs. Best of luck to Eastleigh, but I feel that Salford will destroy them.

With the team available I don’t actually think that was too bad a performance. Just needed a bit of luck.

That refereeing decision was an absolute disgrace. A disgrace. Hopefully Hughes comes out and says so too.

Say it every year but this summer is massive. If we don’t see an improvement in style of play and results we’ll go into oblivion. People can only put up with this for so long

I’m gutted too, but that’s what happens in the playoffs.

Ah well onto season 12, and hopefully we can assemble an attack minded team next season.

We can only have an attack minded team with the tactics to match and for me that means ta ta Darlington.lm afraid I can't watch another season of his boring football. At the end of the day we all go to matches to be entertained and for the last two seasons it's just been dire

Unless we go and sign some quality in the forward areas this summer that's me done. We may as well be throwing money in the bin, we go around in the same circle every season and i've lost all faith in anything changing.

No pattern to our play.. lots of running around with no end product. We now look like the poor non league sides I thought we would be too good for when we first fell down here. Quite sad seeing how far we have fallen. Cue the "we are doing well" proclamations...

Hopefully that'll be the end of Darlington, Hughes and most of the squad. Actually a decent performance but we'd still get bummed by Salford even if we'd have won tonight. Summer is much needed and a break from shit football.
