Players & positions we need to change
 

For me we need the following -

1. A right wing back
2. 2 new creative centre midfielders
3. 2 new wingers
4. 2 new strikers

We certainly need to be putting a bid in for players such as Tollitt in my opinion.

We need to release everyone apart from:

Lainton (who will go to a league club anyway)
Dibble
Jennings
Carrington
Pearson
Kennedy
Lawlor
Manny
Tharme
Sargent
Thorn
Wright
Young
Oswell

That will realistically mean:

1 x new RB
2 x CM
1 x Central forward
3 x wide forwards
1 x new starting GK if Lainton goes

If Darlington is still here then it’s all irrelevant. Let’s have it right, he is managing this team and shaping the entire football “philosophy” of the club. And that tonight is what it looks like.

I’d keep Lainton, Pearson, Kennedy, Jennings, Carrington and Young.

I have to say if we had better quality players I think we’d be a lot better with him here. I think the book stops with the quality of players and Hughes

No need for despair, the amateurs on the board have given hughes three more years to get it right

If we want the better midfielders and attackers we can't afford Pearson, Lawlor, Kennedy and Smith.

Too much money is in the defence, this needs to be rebalanced to give more money for further up the field.

The player revolving door will swing again, but I feel our problems are more deep rooted.
