Need to score more goals
Might be tad simplistic but its glaringly obvious what our problem is-lack of goals.
1.Need to stop being set up to snatch a 1-0 from a set piece regardless of the opposition. 2.Try and create chances from open play. 3.Quality not quantity upfront.Signed Grant,Orwell,Stockton & Spyrou since Jan but only 1 deemed good enough to start in biggest game of season. 4.Last but not least if it's Darlington calling the tactical shots ,keeping him will drive gates only downwards due to the lack of entertainment. |
Re: Need to score more goals
Thanks for the clarification, couldn't quite put my finger on what our problem was prior to this thread.

At least gave some suggestions rather than a imbecilic comment. |

Ignoring it does not solve the problem.Surely comes a stage where lack of goals and entertainment becomes an issue. |
Re: Need to score more goals
There's been many silly things said tonight. But this thread has to be the silliest. Everyone here knows what the problem is!!

Re: Need to score more goals
Getting Tollitt would be a start. Then you need a main man - eg Danny Rowe. Add to that another decent, physical forward in the mould of Danny Wright... Then you'd have your Holroyds and Oswells on the bench.
That's the type of quality you need to get promoted. Doubt our wage cap would allow such lavish spending though. |

Everyone but Hughes and Darlington it would seem. |

I think Hughes does know the problem but couldn't solve it with the squad he inherited. Whether he can solve it with his own squad remains to be seen of course. It's not just having forwards who miss chances it's the whole system of playing front to back which restricts our creativity and prioritises defence and safety first. |
