No 4th sub?

I thought the 4th sub rule only came into effect if 3 subs had been used in normal time. Therefore as we had only brought Rutherford and Oswell on in normal time it wasn't an option for us. Eastleigh had used their 3 so could use a 4th in extra time.

Odd if true. I thought Hughes was delaying because of not being sure which card to play. Didn't know we could play both!!

Everything i have read on the rule assumes that 3 substitutions would have been made in normal time.

This is from the description of the rule for the FA cup (cant find anything on the National League website). In accordance with Emirates FA Cup competition rules, a maximum of seven substitutes may be nominated for a game, and a club may, at its discretion, use three of those seven substitute players at any time in a match during normal time. This season, in the event that extra-time is played in any match in the competition proper, a club may use one additional player from the nominated seven substitutes during the period of extra-time

Me too, Jennings kept going inside and losing the ball and rarely did he overlap either.

Hughes should have used three subs during normal time then his fourth sub in extra time. He and Darlington obviously messed up!

I think Jennings was hamstrung by Holroyd playing infront of him. Holroyd kept moving towards players rather than space meaning it shot the forward pass off and left Jennings with no options other than to cross the ball from ridiculously deep

I was unable to get to the game until the last few minutes of extra time, although according to the radio on route, Mcglashen was brought on as our fourth sub in extra time.
