What about that Luke Simpson we signed? Don’t think he’s played but likely to possibly be a good enough backup to Dibble if Lainton unfortunately leaves?

We should certainly keep hold of Lainton to if we can, but I wouldn't be unhappy to have Dibble as first choice next season.

Do we have a youth team keeper ready for the bench?

He gave decent service when called on last season; he's shown as adept at saving pens too, but each to their own.

He is, but as I have said on other posts the money within the team needs to be pushed further up the pitch.

So next season we score more, but concede more and end up mid-table. A solid keeper is a must. We don’t want Andy Coughlin style “worldie’s” rolling in.

This is the exact reason why we have spent so long down here. We improve one area whilst neglecting another. It’s an ongoing cycle.
