Mccallum looks like a proper striker, he can hold the ball up, link up play and scores goals. He's southern based and will attract interest from league clubs. He's the type of signing I'd love to see us make.

Yeah I agree, would also like Yates think he has the most assists in the league this year , and we need assists!!!!!!

The way the club is now, its going to be very difficult to get promoted as there will always be another team with more money to spend.

It means the Board have to be smarter, our manager has to be ahead of the game player recruitment wise etc etc. Things like signing loan players that never play needs to stop.

The board working smarter means getting the right manager who knows what he’s doing. I fear this appointment will cost us more out of long term budget before we win promotion, the questionable appointment could well be costly in the long run as we pay for him to learn from his mistakes.

It don't take a rocket scientist to know money talks, it's not just signing the best quality we can we also have to pay their contracts and probably agents fees.

It's why we will probably never rise above where we are now as it's impossible to compete and if we went up we would probably be like Macclesfield or Morecambe bumbling around

Why would we be like clubs with crowds of 2k on a good day? If you won the lottery you would be still miserable.

Kysolo from Halifax is out of contract unless am mistaken this summer... he would be a fantastic signing for us also i think.

add him with Tollit and make an approach to salford for Danny Whitehead (he only been getting bench warming spots) . together with midfield we already have makes for a very strong middle of the park and creativity also.

dont know who we can realistically get to score goals... we need 1 (preferebly 2 , who can score 15+ in a season) Possibly Hemmings From Notts County? 14 goals in a relegated side... 3-4 from National League north have scored 20+ , but would all be risky for the step-up.

for me i think Cheek and Hemmings are tragets we could potentially Lure here.. Hemmings is under contract... but with their finicial woes.. may offload him.

Cheek has signed for Bromley. Whitehead started the playoff final for Salford but will be interesting to see their retained list.

Being miserable and wanting the club to progress are 2 different things.
In fact a sense of realism and being miserable are different.

BH has a chance to build on the optimism of reaching the play offs. I think its going to be a tougher ask next season despite Salford going up.
I expect Solihull, Fylde and Harrogate to improve because of their financial backing. Chesterfield to be a lot better, Hartlepool scouring local clubs for signings. Thats without Notts C or Yeovil, Barnet and Daggers expected to improve and us.

OK they all wont make it but there will be the usual surprise package as well.

I expect us to challenge but the recruitment has to be right.
Any slip in expectation will hit hard at the turnstiles IMO.

Thats how I see it.
