In fact a sense of realism and being miserable are different.

BH has a chance to build on the optimism of reaching the play offs. I think its going to be a tougher ask next season despite Salford going up.
I expect Solihull, Fylde and Harrogate to improve because of their financial backing. Chesterfield to be a lot better, Hartlepool scouring local clubs for signings. Thats without Notts C or Yeovil, Barnet and Daggers expected to improve and us.

OK they all wont make it but there will be the usual surprise package as well.

I expect us to challenge but the recruitment has to be right.
Any slip in expectation will hit hard at the turnstiles IMO.

Thats how I see it.
What financial backing do Harrogate and Solihull have? Not saying you're wrong but I'd be surprised if their budgets were above ours, obviously the money has just been spent better, in solihull's case at least, although they ended up in same boat as us.

Fylde are of course bankrolled as you say and will always be a threat. I'm not sure many others would have a bigger budget than us, again its spending it wisely that has been our issue.

Danny whitehead would be a good signing but doubt they will realise him, only been there a year.

Quote in a Harrogate paper last year when they got promoted to join us:-

When Irving Weaver took over at Harrogate Town in June 2011, the club was attracting crowds of around 250 people.

The Wetherby Road outfit’s future did not appear the brightest, and it seemed more likely that they would be dropping out of the then-Blue Square Conference North rather than achieving promotion from it.

"Fast forward seven years and Town are going up, with a place in the National League secured for the 2018/19 season courtesy of a 3-0 play-off final victory over Brackley Town earlier this month that saw a capacity turnout of 3,000 packed inside the CNG Stadium.

The club have realised a long-held ambition to reach the fifth tier of English football and the achievement is one that their chairman – a successful businessman with a multi-million pound fortune to his name – rates as one of his finest. Ever."

Agree. If we went up we would have much more financial firepower than Morecambe or Macc as we would get much bigger crowds, and we are already run profitably.

There’s no reason (with the right manager of course) we can’t be more like Lincoln, who are a similar sized club to us.

Solihull have a backer and rent out car park all week to airport.
How do you think they afforded Vaughan, Gudger, Carter, Storer, Wright, Blissett, Yussuf, Daley and Hylton on 700 crowds?
Harrogate have a rich owner and director, Borehamwood and Bromley both have backers as well.

I'm as happy as Larry today as the scousers have gone back into hiding for a week or 2 😎

I'm sorry if a dose of reality has made you miserable but don't worry with the circus clowns at the top like you living in denial and refusing to man up and apologise for their mistakes, I'm sure we will bumble along for many more years down here instead while we appoint managers like foot golf experts, the Mancs thought they had got a good manager on the back of new manager bounce, a guy who did not succeed at Cardiff.

We have a guy who was sacked at. Scarborough 2 league's below.

All we can hope is he learns from his mistakes unlike the Gods at the top table...

Sorry if that's to the point ask see it after all its a forum for opinions, I'm sure theirs one for sheep in farmers weekly 😂😂😂😂

Fair enough, didn't do Boreham wood much good last year! Even with these backers I'd still be surprised if their budgets much exceed ours if at all.
