Or its because his legs have gone and he's old.

I doubt he'd die from it either

I would have no issue signing Beavon as long as we recruit quality to play around him. I would have an issue with a contract longer than 12 months unless it's a player coach or assistant role. 2.5 yr deal makes no sense and so if he has signed i can't see it being that.

He doesn't score goals.
He can't play more than 60 minutes. If he's on longer than 60 minutes he's absolutely shagged.
He's 36.
I see no reason to offer him any sort of deal.

It would be utter madness and thankfully Dixienormous was on the wind up.

If he did sign this place would go into meltdown factor 1000.

He needs players around, to bring them into play. Part of the reason he never lasted a full game was the amount of work he was asked to do leading the line. Having him in a no10 role with 2 up front or coming off the bench would be ok. If it's to carry on playing the same system then yes I agree with you.

I'm not having this new excuse about the amount of work he was having to do either. Rutherford puts in similar effort if not more, as he usually is on the wing so is constantly going from box to box and he didn't fade like Beavon did.

I agree that the whole system needs changing for next season

It would only happen at Wrexham playing the high ball to a 5,6 inch centre forward who weighs 9 stone wet!
