I agree that the whole system needs changing for next season

Rutherford is 4 years younger. Beavon was the best footballer at the club technically wise last season and can bring a lot of benefit to the team if utilised properly.

We cant waste money on a non scoring, over the hill passenger despite a few positive attributes. We have to set sights higher and think longer term.

I personally don't see it as a waste of money as long as we bring the right players in and ship out Fondop.

I don't think anyone could seriously accuse Beavon of being a passenger. He's a good footballer who brings a lot to the team and performed consistently well last season. The problem comes if he is your main goal threat, as that isn't his game.
