He's got 2 years left on his contract with what you can imagine is very good pay. If he leaves he'll want ridiculous money - possibly a wage only a rich Championship (or higher) club could give him, and I don't think he'll get that sort of interest.

I brought it up as previous players were talking about it on twitter, no one has dispelled the myth yet but there must be some truth in it as we’ve not signed any quality for years.
