Yep. The Halifax game summed him up, fantastic goal and then 2 minutes later went off injured. We can’t be wasting money like we have this season.

I did say that I dont believe we have a cap defined as an actual value. i.e. as amount of £x.

I would expect a ball park figure that we would be prepared to go between and each contract negotiated separately. We do have a limited budget.

For arguments sake lets say we would like to pay a max of between £1300 and £1500 but 1 player comes along and wants a bit more. The manager would discuss with board too see if/how we could fund it.
I would expect a notional figure to be in place but I would not expect it to be totally ‘fixed’. Likewise we have probably got players in salary bands and can only afford X players in each band.

Sessi D'Almeida would be a good midfield option to pick up from that. reasons for their released list is speculatively financial according to a Yeovil Fan on another forum

Thanks I'd missed the tone of the post clearly! Think we are broadly agreed then re what a wage "cap" should look like.

A few of their released players actually look decent. Big cost cutting exercise maybe?

Forest Green

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48283356

Forest Green Rovers have released eight players and transfer-listed striker Reuben Reid following their defeat in the League Two play-off semi-finals.

Reid hit seven goals in 34 games for Rovers this season and has a year left on his deal after moving from Exeter.

Defender Gavin Gunning, who missed just four league games this season, is one of the eight not offered new terms.

Scott Laird, Lee Collins, Isaac Pearce, Jordan Simpson, Tahvon Campbell, Haydn Hollis and Fabien Robert also depart.
