I don't know why but if your lawyer advises you not to sign something you don't sign it and I would imagine they would have very good reason to advise that.

But the trust lawyers advise prospective investors to sign a NDA…

Maybe the Lawyer knows what might be revealed through due diligence and this was the easy way out.

There's no point listing 27 specific things that can't be disclosed if someone thinks of a 28th that can.
My example did say anything else sensitive but if we were specific about salaries, forecasts and things we would be prepared to disclose then simply dont disclose anything not on the list. Its not complicated.

I think it's pretty simplistic to think anyone looking to buy a stake in a company wouldn't want to look at absolutely everything. Hence, everything has to be covered.

That’s fair enough. But, as a group, you tell your lawyer of your plans to buy something. If you’re genuine about your intentions, and the lawyer pulls the plug at the first hurdle, I would argue that the group wasn’t that interested then.

Depends on why the plug was pulled.
The other side of it could be that they soon realised they weren't going to get anywhere so backed out. Loads of things could end it from either side.

Although if you weren't that interested why bother hiring a lawyer at all and throwing money away paying them.

Maybe because they were ill prepared and perhaps ill advised. The fact ,for me , still remains that the bond makes sense.

I had to laugh at the comments of the Salford chairman in today's Leader. She goes on to say its not the money that's going into the club that people dislike, it's the owners, with the Class of 92. She follows this by saying. Wrexham, Orient and Fylde all have good budgets, and all have owners with money.
