I'm not going to go them a "joke club". For the few hundred supporters who have supported them for years they must feel like they have hit the jackpot. We are better off now they have gone.

Before they were taken over, the average attendance was 117. So it's just the one hundred.

Great for the 100 then. I wouldn’t care less if Bill Gates bought us and pushed us to the top of the premiership, with Liverpool and Man Utd fans mocking our attendances.

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't need to. We would take best part of 20k to a conf playoff final, once Bill has taken ua to the premier league it would be double that. This is because we are a proper football club.

We took 9/10k Vs Newport. Appreciate we had just been Trophy final but 15k max imo

Was reading on the sky sports football app and there was a tiny mistake... Salford are promoted, who will now join champions Leyton Orient and runners up Solihull after they gained automatic promotion. Whoops...

On a more serious note, I do think it should be at least three up from this league.

Bankrolled teams doing well happens throughout the world and throughout the divisions. We have got rid of one today which leaves more scraps for us paupers to fight over! I think Salford have the potential to be the same size as many of the other lower league clubs from around that area and after a few years people will soon forget where they come from. Long term I wonder what there plans are. A club so associated with one of the 2 Manchester clubs can only attract so many fans. I wonder if the owners will lose interest when it gets more difficult.
