Just to put things to bed:

The Scottish FA pay for travel and accommodation costs of teams needing to stay away from Scotland and those needing to travel to Scotland. It's either up to a maximum of £10k or £15k.

So really it shouldn't cost us a bean to enter, and as said, a chance for fringe and youth players to get a run out as well as a weekend away in Ireland or Scotland for fans alike.

On that basis I cant see the harm in it, some interesting away days potentially and we dont have to take it too seriously.

Every season let’s concentrate on the league every season we fail. let’s embrace this new competition and try and win it. Winning trophies (whatever they are) is what football is all about.

And the Scottish challenge cup, do the treble! In all seriousness I dont recall playing in the Welsh cup and the football league trophy badly affected our sessons.

Maybe because there wasn't the desperate need to get promoted like there is now.

Orient and Flyde have both managed to get to the FA trophy final and Orient got automatic promotion whilst Flyde made the PO final. That arguments bollocks about concentrating on the league. Success breeds success and a winning mentality. Plus it gives fringe players and possibly youth team game time something we are not doing presently enough.

I want the club to go out and try and win everything because if not whats the point?

Majority of our fanbase couldn't give a toss about the trophy, guess they don't have a clue either? Tool.
