Not worth the hassle or travel expenses.

If we get an “invitation”, can we not just say no?

I prefer the thought that if we get drawn against TNS we would be a Welsh team representing england against an english team representing Wales

I am pretty sure the invites are to the play off losers and the highest placed team not promoted. So it is academic. We will not be invited as it will be Solihull and Salford or Fylde that will "grace" the competition.

Another pointless, meaningless cup competition? No thanks.

Agreed. The FAT is enough on top of the FA Cup. No need for further non money spinning distractions.

That’s the key point. It’s not worth anything money wise.

I wonder what the process would be reject the invitation? Or should we use it to get fringe and youth teamers match fit?

I don't believe this to be correct.

If Salford win at Wembley and the SFA board does not invoke its right of discretion, we will be invited to the 2019–20 Scottish Challenge Cup.

4.2.7 after excluding the clubs that were promoted to the English Football League in the preceding season, the two clubs that finished highest in the English National League, or such other English clubs as the Board in its sole discretion considers appropriate (the “English clubs”)
