Would be massive publicity and build the fanbase if we were to do well or even win it and would be a great pub quiz question for years.
Don't understand why some fans think a team is always distracted from the league by doing well in a cup competition when history shows loads of examples of teams doing well in both.

No problem with doing well in an important cup competition, it would be worth the risks. The problem is this competition is completely worthless.

To be fair I doubt we would get massive publicity from this.
And we don't want to be playing in a worthless cup with no incentive to win just to become a pub quiz question!

Given the choice, i'm afraid i'd rather stick to the domestic cups we already play in.

Is it possible to establish whether the club can turn this invite down?

If Wrexham entered they would be fully expected to win it. Hands down. Anything else against part time Scottish opposition with 500+ crowds would be an abject failure & would knock confidence for sure..... still haven’t thought of one good reason to even consider this comp. I know we are in a tinpot league, but come on, this Cup comp isn’t even at that giddy level....
