Would rather this than the FA Trophy. At least get some good away trips.

If priority is gaining league status and promotion then we need this competition like a hole in the head.

Prepare for the league programme to be disrupted to high heaven if we enter and progress in this and other cup competitions.

Connahs Quay Nomads got to the final this year -says it all - a competition for the football minnows of which some of us seem to relish as long as there is a good away day and plenty of ale to drink.

Are we really that much bigger than CQN or TNS in term of our respective wage bills?

Agree. It’s all about the mods & cons. And the cons win this one.

Point is Alan that those clubs will still be playing in the Welsh Premier League in years to come infront of crowds of 300 - we could be in League 1 if we sorted our priorities and got our arses in gear - our fanbase is far too large for the National League but somewhere and somehow we get let down and underperform on and off the pitch year after year.

Not sure what our wage bill is in comparison to LOW clubs but our overall turn over with the crowds we get must be way ahead of them but so must our overheads especially in stadium maintenance and staffing.

I don’t disagree with any of that RL. I’m merely a bit uncomfortable about elevating ourselves to such levels of grandeur!

Bearing in mind that only five clubs in Scotland have substantially bigger average attendances than Wrexham, & they won’t be in it, it would be a logistical, financial & fatigue enduring nightmare.
Playing against teams who average 500+ would benefit no one.
