I've said time and again if the board showed some humility and came out and apologised at the mistakes made and promised to learn from it and that it won't happen again it would of been accepted by many dissenters and taken the heat off them.

But it takes a man to apologise, unfortunately I think that's down to the times we live in.

Jesus, when did our standards drop so low??!!

The extremely poor appointments of both Barrow and now Hughes have consigned us to continual failure. At least Barrow bailed when he realised it wasn't happening. Hughes will no doubt get a pay off in about 6 months time and we'll be back to square one.

Accepting 4th in non league football?! Hardly.

Realising that there are teams with bigger budgets than us and had stability through the whole of the season - so 4th, while disappointing, is not the disaster you're making it out to be. Absolutely.

Most on here thought it was a stupid idea at the time. It was hardly surprising they were proven right.

Spot on.

People really struggle to be realistic on here.

Didn't use the phrase disaster. I said the season was a failure. It was.

Are you arguing it was a success??

Ultimately of course it was a failure.

Plenty seemed to believe that.
Whatever it was they were a good combination that whilst not pretty on the pitch worked and ground out the results. From what ive heard Barrow was good on the training ground whilst Ricketts was a tough disciplinarian who would not let players get away with stuff. After the Mills fiasco that was what we needed.
